Sea Island Wedding Photographer – An Honored First

There are moments in a career that feel like a turning point—ones you know you’ll treasure for years to come. For me, one of those moments was seeing my work on the cover of a magazine for the very first time. And what makes it even more meaningful is that it was Matt and Tatum’s Sea Island wedding gracing those pages.

As a Sea Island wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless love stories, each one distinct and deeply personal. But Matt and Tatum’s day will always hold a special place in my heart. From the first look taking place two days prior to the wedding day to the breathtaking ceremony that seemed to pause time itself, every detail of their wedding reflected the beauty of who they are—elegant, joyful, and filled with grace.

And then there’s the cover photo itself—the moment that almost didn’t happen. I remember asking Tatum if she’d be willing to sit in a tree. Her face was priceless at first, but when I explained my vision—an ethereal, forest-like portrait—she didn’t hesitate. She trusted me completely.
